DRUID, a Romanian startup focused on enabling businesses to implement conversational AI applications, said it has closed on a Series B round of funding worth $30 million. The company’s platform enables organizations to leverage a user-friendly conversational layer and its ability to understand business context to help build applications that can automate customer interaction and business processes.

The company’s generative AI capability is based on ChatGPT via an integration with Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service.

“DRUID capitalizes on recent advancements in Generative AI, which seamlessly integrate into our Conversational Business Applications platform,” said Liviu Drăgan, CEO and founder of DRUID. “We believe our platform will, for large international enterprises, ignite a new era of productivity and tangible business outcomes.”

The funding round was led by TQ Ventures, with participation from new investors Smedvig Capital, Endeavor, and Verve Ventures, and existing investors GapMinder, Hoxton Ventures and Karma Ventures.
