Appian, a provider of a low-code development platform that enables companies to build business applications made a trio of announcements about automation offerings, featuring a big move into RPA. The moves, coming on the heels of the company’s acquisition of Novayre Solutions, enable Appian to add cloud-native RPA to its full-stack platform that includes AI, RPA, workflow, decision rules, and case management delivered in a low-code environment.

A jewel of the January acquisition of Novayre for Appian was the inclusion of the Spanish firm’s Jidoka RPA platform. Integration of the capability into Appian’s existing offerings resulted in the launch of Appian RPA as part of a platform that can address a variety of automation needs, the company said. Appian also included pricing information in its announcement: users can build unlimited bots for $5,000 per month.

“Rethinking business processes and optimizing operations with an integrated automation stack enables employees to focus on more meaningful work while powering corporate growth,” said Greg Hyttenrauch, president of Cognizant Digital Systems and Technology. “Cognizant draws on the Appian Platform to help our customers move fast and innovate with purpose.”

Separately, the company announced other additions to its full-stack platform, including enhanced intelligent document processing made possible by an expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud.
