Peddy Assumes CISO Role at ABBYY

Intelligent automation technology provider ABBYY has named a new chief information security officer to lead its infosec team. Clayton C. Peddy, a cybersecurity veteran with more than 20 years of experience defending corporate networks and data, ensuring regulatory compliance and developing technological innovation, was appointed to the post in April.

Peddy comes to ABBYY after a stint as chief security officer at OutSystems and security leadership posts at Cloud Software Group and Citrix. He will lead and manage the cyber security functions across products and the enterprise.

“Clayton’s infosec expertise and impressive track record reflects ABBYY’s dedication to data security and delivering robust solutions to our customers,” said Ulf Persson, CEO of ABBYY. “He will be a great addition to the ABBYY team focused on accelerating the development and deployment of our intelligent automation solutions.”

This is the second time the company has mined Austin-based OutSystems for tech talent. Peddy follows Patrick Jean, who ABBYY named as its CTO in December after serving in the same role at OutSystems.
