Workday and Microsoft announced a new integration at Workday Rising 2025 that connects the HR technology provider’s Agent System of Record (ASOR) with Microsoft Entra Agent ID. The collaboration is designed to give enterprises a unified way to manage both human and AI agents across their organizations.
The integration will allow users that build agents using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio to register and manage them in Workday ASOR. According to the companies, the combination aims to address concerns around agent identity, governance, and visibility as adoption of AI agents expands.
“As AI agents become a huge part of how we work, managing and securing them across different systems is a real challenge. Our commitment to an open ecosystem is about giving organizations the flexibility to build their fleet of AI agents on the platform of their choice,” said Gerrit Kazmaier, president of product and technology at Workday.
The companies said the connection between the Workday and Microsoft platforms will enable IT teams to monitor access levels and activity, leverage analytics in Workday dashboards that track usage, productivity, and let agents handle requests across platforms.
