Automation Anywhere announced it has acquired Aisera, a provider of AI-driven self-service agents for IT, HR, and customer support. The intelligent automation technology provider said the move will bolster its capabilities in agentic automation and accelerate the process of helping customers transition to the “Autonomous Enterprise.”
The deal enables the integration of Automation Anywhere’s Agentic Process Automation (APA) system with Aisera’s conversational AI platform. The company says the combination will deliver a unified stack designed to automate work across thousands of enterprise systems.
Automation Anywhere CEO and Co-founder Mihir Shukla framed the acquisition as a shift toward performance-based automation economics rather than traditional licensing.
“We’re expanding the value we offer to customers, broadening our market reach, and accelerating the momentum of our GenAI business, which is already the cornerstone of our growth and the majority of our bookings,” Shukla said. “We are in a unique position to help customers adopt agentic AI faster while reducing their spending on existing, seat-based ITSM products. With AI agents doing the work, up to 40 percent fewer ITSM seats are needed.”
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
