BigPanda has acquired Velocity, a site reliability engineering (SRE) company specializing in AI-powered incident response, as it seeks to expand its leadership in the emerging field of agentic IT operations.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening BigPanda’s core platform for AI-driven detection and response, helping enterprises move from manual, reactive incident management toward proactive, reasoning-based automation. The company said the deal reflects a deepening investment in agentic AI and reinforces its vision of transforming how large organizations maintain digital service resilience.
BigPanda’s platform already automates Level 1 operations, augments SRE and major incident teams, and predicts or prevents incidents before they affect customers. The addition of Velocity’s technology and team will accelerate the company’s AI Detection and Response product, reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) and operational costs while improving overall IT resilience.

Velocity founder and CEO Tal Kain joins BigPanda as vice president of AI Detection and Response. His background includes leadership roles in startups acquired by Oracle, Verint, and PSG, as well as early service in Israel’s Unit 8200.
