Lithuanian technology provider Neurotechnology has introduced a cloud-based natural language processing (NLP) platform designed to support speech and text automation in Baltic languages.
The platform provides speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities for Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian, along with English transcription. It can be accessed through an API or web interface, allowing organizations to integrate the tools into automated workflows or use them directly for transcription and voice synthesis.
According to the company, the speech-to-text component can transcribe uploaded audio files or live recordings while separating different speakers in the transcript. The text-to-speech service generates Lithuanian audio output using a selection of synthetic voices.
The platform is aimed at organizations that need language processing capabilities for regional languages that are often less supported by mainstream AI services. Potential use cases include media production, call analysis, public-sector documentation and legal transcription.
“We developed this platform to make our NLP technologies easier to access and use in the Baltic countries,” said Vytas Mulevičius, NLP team lead at Neurotechnology. “This tool provides a flexible and easy-to-use environment where users can employ NLP tools that are specifically created for these regional languages.”
Neurotechnology also said developers can build customized NLP applications using its software development kit, which allows organizations to deploy the company’s language models within their own infrastructure.
