In 2017, the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) established the U.S. space agency’s first RPA program. NASA established the Intelligent Automation Services unit under the direction of the Automation Management Services Office, which is a branch within the NSSC’s Enterprise Services Division.
Last week, according to a weekly update from NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine, NSSC combined forces with a team from NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer/Agency Applications Office (AAO) to make RPA available across the agency.
The NASA Enterprise Automation Service is now available to the entire NASA community. The new service provides an enterprise capability for Robotics Process Automation to create a digital workforce that all divisions of NASA can leverage.
