Intelligent automation technology provider ABBYY named Brian Unruh as its chief financial officer. Unruh, a tech veteran with nearly two decades of executive management experience, was most recently CFO at Dodge Construction Network and has served in senior financial roles at Vista Equity Partners and software company PrismHR. He is the second addition to ABBYY’s C-suite in the last three months.

“Brian’s extensive experience and leadership is a great addition to the ABBYY executive management team,” commented Ulf Persson, CEO of ABBYY. “He is joining us at an exciting time when AI is helping redefine our products and markets. Global enterprises are enthusiastic about incorporating AI technologies to realize higher efficiency and productivity. The opportunity for ABBYY’s growth and expansion is tremendous and Brian will be a valued addition to our team as we continue to lead customers with our industry-leading AI-powered intelligent document processing and process intelligence solutions.”

As software companies continue to integrate aspects of AI into software automation platforms, intelligent automation has emerged as an industry-wide term for the technology that is making the automation of business processes simpler. In addition to bolstering its executive ranks, ABBYY inaugurated September as its first Intelligent Automation Month.
