Adobe Launches AI Agents on Experience Platform

Adobe has joined the parade of software providers offering AI agents, along with a platform to manage them. The company said its agents, which are designed to support customer experience and marketing campaigns, will be operated, overseen and integrated with agents from third-party providers by Agent Orchestrator, on its Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).

The new capabilities of the platform are aimed at enabling agents to interpret context, plan multi-step actions, and refine responses. Adobe said the system builds on its existing data and workflow integrations, positioning the agents to act on enterprise information in ways intended to improve customer-facing outcomes.

“Adobe has long helped businesses deliver engaging experiences to their customers, by turning digital data into actionable insights. We are now leveraging agentic AI to build specialized agents and embedding them into data, content and experience creation workflows,” said Anjul Bhambhri, senior vice president of engineering, Adobe Experience Cloud.

Out-of-the-box agents are being embedded in applications including Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics. Among them are Audience Agent, for scaling and optimizing audience segments; Journey Agent, for automating customer journeys; Experimentation Agent, for analyzing campaign tests; Data Insights Agent, for visualization and forecasting; Site Optimization Agent, for website performance; and Product Support Agent, for troubleshooting within enterprise apps.

The company said more than 70 percent of eligible AEP customers are already using its AI Assistant interface, which serves as a front-end for agent interaction. Early adopters include Hershey, Lenovo, Merkle, Wegmans, and Wilson Company. Adobe also announced partnerships with Cognizant, Google Cloud, Havas, Medallia, Omnicom, PwC, and VML, which will provide additional integration options.
