Automation Anywhere has unveiled a Procure-to-Pay solution that uses AI agents to coordinate processes across procurement and finance systems. The offering, part of the company’s Autonomous Finance suite of AI-powered tools for CFO organizations, follows an agentic AI architecture Automation Anywhere announced in collaboration with OpenAI earlier this year.
The San Jose, Calif.-based technology provider said Procure-to-Pay coordinates tasks ranging from vendor onboarding and requisitions to purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice processing and payment-status tracking. It integrates with existing ERP, procurement and financial systems rather than requiring organizations to replace their systems of record.
“Finance leaders understand how quickly manual exceptions, fragmented approvals and disconnected systems can consume capacity,” says Vikram Khosla, chief financial officer of Automation Anywhere. “Every exception that requires human investigation, every invoice that stalls in a queue, every approval that waits on a handoff is a strategic tax on the business.”
According to the company, when exceptions occur, an AI assistant identifies the issue, provides relevant context and recommends actions for finance employees. The solution also incorporates OpenAI reasoning models alongside Automation Anywhere’s orchestration technology to apply enterprise context and governed execution to finance processes.
