Bonitasoft, an open-source automation software provider, is transitioning its current chief operating officer and a co-founder of the company, into the CEO role. Charles Souillard was announced recently as CEO, succeeding Miguel Valdés Faura.
The company sold a majority stake to Fortino Capital in March and said it would use the investment to develop its suite of tools aimed at enterprises. The company also said it was expanding its ability to deliver its open-source technology via the cloud.
“Miguel is leaving a remarkable legacy. Continuing it and taking up the CEO role after co-founding the company 13 years ago is a great honor to me,” Souillard said. “We will continue to build our strong vision to significantly increase the experience of employees and customers, by designing the most powerful and extensible BPM platform on the market. I very much look forward to working with our customers and leading Bonitasoft in this next phase.”
