German process intelligence technology provider Celonis unveiled several enhancements and AI-enabled features in its platform at an online event this week. The company, which was a pioneer in process mining, said investments in enterprise AI cannot be fully leveraged without using process intelligence to train the models.
While the large language models that underpin popular consumer-facing generative AI systems like Chat GPT are trained using the wealth of data available online, Celonis said, enterprise AI models using a business’s own data need process intelligence to enable those systems to make the connections between raw data points.
The company said it has added the ability to bring Oracle data into its flagship Process Intelligence Graph, enabled systems to find objects and events faster and improved the user interface enabling users to model objects and events easier.
It also introduced Celonis Process Copilots that let users ask an LLM-based GenAI chatbot questions about their processes. The company said copilots make things easy for users who aren’t data analysts.
“For us, it’s all about bringing Process Intelligence to every part of the enterprise—BI tools, automation, and AI,” said Alexander Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis. “The strong demand from existing and new customers shows the importance of the combination of Process Intelligence and AI.”
