Celonis Taps Tech Vet Henderson to Lead North American Operations

Celonis announced it has appointed Ewan Henderson as general manager for North America, tasking him with overseeing regional go-to-market strategy and operations as enterprises continue to assess how AI investments translate into operational results.

Henderson joins the German process intelligence firm with more than two decades of enterprise software leadership experience. Most recently, he spent 13 years at Informatica, where he led the enterprise business and was involved in the company’s shift toward cloud-based offerings following its IPO. Prior to that, Henderson served in senior roles at Oracle.

The appointment comes as many large organizations report uneven results from AI initiatives, particularly when systems are deployed without clear links to underlying business processes. Celonis positions its process intelligence platform as a way to provide operational context for AI by integrating data across enterprise systems and modeling workflows through digital representations of end-to-end operations.

Alex Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis, framed the challenge as one of execution rather than experimentation, saying, “Only 11 percent of companies are seeing measurable benefits from their AI investments today. That’s not an adoption problem, it’s a context problem.”

Henderson’s predecessor, Rupal Karia, will continue to lead North America go-to-market activities through April 30. Beginning May 1, Henderson is also expected to assume responsibility for go-to-market operations across the UK and Ireland, Benelux, the Nordics, the Middle East and Africa.
