Genpact, a New York City-based business services firm received two patents on technology around process intelligence. The company said the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded the company patents for Genpact ProcIndex, a diagnostic tool that measures “process health” and its Intelligent Automation Index, which helps companies identify where automation will help them the most.

“Leading organizations need to derive insights at speed, and these patents exemplify a holistic, integrated approach that help transform operations, drive strategic process innovation, and deploy the right technologies to enable long-term gains for enterprise transformation,” said Katie Stein, chief strategy officer and global business leader for Enterprise Services at Genpact. “Genpact’s patents demonstrate our commitment to innovation and our ability to help clients’ transformation journeys.”

Genpact developed ProcIndex for the finance and accounting verticals to assess the state of their business processes. It said Intelligent Automation Index lets clients “objectively assess” their existing level of automation maturity and identify opportunities to automate using RPA and other technologies.
