Cambridge, Mass.-based consultancy Forrester has released its most recent Wave report identifying and evaluating the top 15 companies providing consulting services in the RPA space.
The report compiles scores for RPA technology providers based on 17 criteria including automation consulting and advisory, process assessment, implementation capability, support capability, market approach, partner ecosystem, number of customers and more. The scores result in offering, strategy and market presence ratings. From these ratings they are separated into Leaders, Strong Performers, Contenders and Challengers.
Six of the companies were tabbed as Leaders: Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, EY, IBM and Tata Consultancy Services. The others were scattered mostly in the Strong Performers and Contenders categories.
The report said businesses evaluating RPA services providers should look for a transformational mindset, operational depth and a sophisticated, value-focused toolkit.
“As automation becomes the new fabric of digital business, technology and business leaders expect a far more complex array of capabilities and outcomes from their automation programs than vanilla RPA can offer,” the report’s authors wrote. “As a vital part of this ecosystem, service providers have been steadily upping their game to help clients leverage RPA as part of a broader automation fabric and to support enhanced digital differentiation and transformation.”
Other companies evaluated in the report include: Atos, Capgemini, EPAM, Genpact, HCL Technologies, Hexaware Technologies, Infosys, KPMG and PwC.
