IT consultancy KSTEC said it has launched Smart IDP, an intelligent document processing platform that combines robotic process automation, optical character recognition, natural language processing, machine learning and large language models to automate document-centric workflows.
According to the South Korean company, the platform can identify, classify and extract data from unstructured documents including invoices, receipts, contracts and purchase orders. The goal is to reduce manual document handling and data-entry tasks while improving processing efficiency.
KSTEC said the system incorporates image preprocessing, document classification and object detection technologies alongside large language models to improve extraction accuracy, including for low-resolution scans and handwritten documents.
The launch reflects continued interest in intelligent document processing as organizations seek to automate information extraction from large volumes of business documents.
“The Smart IDP solution, paired with KSTEC’s existing RPA and APA (Autonomous Process Automation) technology suite, will establish a vital foundation for innovating corporate workflow automation.” said Jeong-ho Kim, Technology Director at KSTEC. “Moving forward, we intend to aggressively target industries where large-scale, high-volume document processing is essential, focusing heavily on finance, manufacturing, bio/pharmaceuticals, and the public sector.”
The company said it plans to focus on industries with significant document-processing requirements, including financial services, manufacturing, life sciences and government organizations.
