RPA and intelligent automation technology provider Nintex has tabbed Amit Mathradas to lead the company as its new CEO. Mathradas comes to Nintex from tax compliance automation firm Avalara where he served as president and chief operating officer. It is the third and most prominent change to the Bellevue, Wa.-based company’s executive leadership team.

Mathradas succeeds Eric Johnson, who led Nintex for five years and oversaw the its acquisition of competitor Kryon in Feb. 2022. Mathradas has deep experience in the tech sector, with stops at PayPal, Web.com and Dell, in addition to Avalara.

“Amit’s joining is another strong sign of momentum at Nintex, following the company’s acquisition of process discovery leader Kryon last year,” Nehal Raj, co-managing partner at TPG Capital, said on the hire. “Amit’s leadership, operational expertise, and vision make him the right person to continue Nintex’s transformation from a leading automation tool into a strategic, enterprise platform for broad-based automation.”
