A San Jose, Calif. startup emerged from stealth mode recently with a mission to provide robotic process automation services for companies in the logistics and transportation industries. RPA Labs, founded by transportation and software veterans, is only the most recent venture aimed at bringing RPA to specific business verticals.

“Robotic process automation has already taken root in other industries like financial services,” said co-founder Matt Motsick. “It’s a perfect time for RPA to disrupt the logistics industry, given the amount of paperwork, documentation and around-the-clock customer interaction that global transportation requires.”

According to RPA Labs, inputting data, providing quotes, responding to emails and handling repeated requests are tasks common for logistics and transportation companies that are ripe for automation.
