Salesforce Forecasts Record $334 Billion in Global Cyber Week Sales, Driven by Agentic AI

Salesforce projects that Cyber Week 2025 will generate $334 billion in global online sales, with $73 billion directly influenced by AI and agents, up 22 percent from last year. The company said retailers deploying agentic capabilities are seeing significant performance gains, reporting seven times the U.S. sales growth (13 percent) compared with those without (2 percent) over the past seven weeks.

The findings, detailed in Salesforce’s Shopping Index, analyze 1.5 billion shoppers across 1.5 trillion page views. According to the index, online buying signals have strengthened since early fall, with digital traffic surging and early engagement suggesting a strong Cyber Week ahead. From Oct. 1 to Nov. 15, online sales rose three percent year over year in the U.S. and six percent globally.

“Digital traffic has skyrocketed, indicating shoppers are engaging early to see what’s new and build out their wish lists,” said Caila Schwartz, Director of Consumer Insights and Strategy at Salesforce. “This year, more shoppers are leaning on AI and agents to research products, help them budget, and prepare for the holiday season—a trend retailers are addressing by building their own agentic experiences.”

Salesforce predicts mobile devices will account for 70 percent of online orders and 80 percent of traffic, with 25 percent of all Cyber Week purchases made via mobile wallets. Black Friday is expected to remain the biggest online shopping day, generating $78 billion in global sales and $18 billion in the U.S.

While digital channels continue to expand, in-store shopping will still account for 65 percent of U.S. holiday sales. Retailers are expected to offer some of the steepest discounts in beauty, apparel, and home goods, as deal-driven shoppers look to capitalize on the season’s high promotions.
