German ERP software giant SAP recently announced that the most recent update of one of its popular cloud-based systems has integrated intelligent RPA into many of the offering’s capabilities.
According to a post on SAP’s corporate blog, the 1908 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud leverages intelligent RPA to enable functionality including bank statement reprocessing for financial services firms, predictive manufacturing resource planning for manufacturers of all kinds, and purchase order confirmation for procurement staff.
“A new capability called ‘my situations’ takes intelligent RPA a step further by providing a notification framework that informs users where action must be taken once the system has identified an issue,” the company wrote in the post. “ This release continues to set the standard for effective application of intelligent technologies, incorporation of embedded analytics to make companies smart, and integration of intelligent enterprise resource planning (ERP) into line-of-business capabilities to streamline end-to-end processes.
