One of the areas where AI has made the greatest inroads in automating the writing and debugging of computer code. SecurityBridge, a cybersecurity platform developed specifically for SAP users, has launched an AI-based tool that can scan code once it is already written for vulnerabilities. The company said its Code Vulnerability Analyzer identifies and explains vulnerabilities in the code that runs apps on SAP.
“Enriching SAP security expertise with the power of AI is at the core of our innovation strategy,” said Holger Hügel, Product Management Director at SecurityBridge. “Our approach ensures that AI enhances security practices by delivering substantial improvements over traditional methods while ensuring high user adoption.”
The tool enables developers who might not be familiar with SAP’s Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) to understand the behavior of specific code. It also provides detailed explanations of security risks in custom ABAP code, highlighting potential threats and offering remediation strategies.
