Intelligent automation technology provider UiPath said this week it has acquired vertically focused AI technology provider Peak. The U.K.-based company offers an AI-enabled software platform that automates processes around product inventory and pricing. UiPath CEO Daniel Dines said the acquisition serves a strategy of enabling automation for specialized use cases.
“With the acquisition of Peak, we are accelerating our mission to strengthen our vertical AI solutions strategy,” Dines said in the statement announcing the acquisition. “When combined with the UiPath platform, Peak’s exceptional purpose-built AI applications will enhance our ability to provide solutions that optimize industry-specific use cases and deliver incredible value to customers.”
According to the companies, the acquisition deepens an existing partnership and Peak technology will enable UiPath clients to leverage new pricing and inventory agents that automate and optimize activities including price quotes. Peak’s broader Decision Intelligence capabilities will also factor into the orchestration capabilities in the UiPath agentic automation platform, according to the joint announcement.
