UiPath used the stage at its ongoing user conference in Las Vegas to show off the most recent updates to its process automation platform.  While all of the updates it announced will not be publicly available until Oct. 31, a new browser-based developer tool headlined the new offerings.

The company said its UiPath Studio Web will enable developers to “simplify the creation of public-facing processes and apps for customer service and value chain scenarios to streamline customer experiences.” The company said it also will be easier to connect to in-house apps and specialized industry solutions via APIs.

Through acquisition and organically, UiPath has bolstered its process intelligence capability in the updated platform.

An automation hub will let users make ROI comparisons between estimates they predicted in the planning stage and  actual results after bots have been implemented. Process mining has been enhanced with new analytics and insights and new task mining capability can identify not only how tasks are usually done but any variations that might occur under real-world conditions.

“The UiPath Business Automation Platform provides the foundation every enterprise needs to develop new apps and automate existing ones,” said Ted Kummert, executive vice president of Products & Engineering at UiPath. “Whether the desired business outcome is acceleration of profitable growth, cost savings, or improved employee and customer experiences, UiPath makes it easy to transform more processes into digital, automated workflows.”
