UiPath Joins Agentic AI Foundation to Advance Open Standards for Enterprise Agents

UiPath announced it has joined the Agentic AI Foundation as a Gold Member, aligning itself with industry efforts to establish open standards for agentic AI in enterprise environments.

Founded in 2025, the Agentic AI Foundation is focused on developing governance models and technical standards to support interoperable, production-grade AI agents. UiPath said it will participate in working groups covering governance, regulatory alignment, security and observability as enterprises move agentic systems from pilot to operational scale.

“Joining the Agentic AI Foundation reflects our commitment to advancing open, enterprise frameworks for agent development, governance and orchestration,” said Raghu Malpani, chief technology officer at UiPath. “Being a a part of the AAIF’s working groups for governance, regulatory alignment, security, and observability allows us to align our products and go-to-market priorities to the security, observability, and compliance demands of enterprises looking to transform their business using AI agents and agentic orchestration.”

UiPath said its platform supports the Model Context Protocol for agent interaction and runs orchestration on the open-source Temporal.io engine. The company framed open standards as necessary for enabling multi-agent coordination across claims processing and other complex workflows where systems must operate within shared guardrails.
