Xerox has introduced a new application that builds on its Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform—a foundational technology underpinning its Global Automation Platform. The Xerox EveryDoc IDP App, available now in the U.S. and Canada, uses AI models to extract and verify information from a range of structured and unstructured document types, including contracts, invoices, legal records, and transcripts.
The Norwalk, Conn.-based company said the app enables organizations to ingest digital, printed, or handwritten documents from a range of sources that include mobile devices, email, and cloud storage platforms. It automates the extraction of data from those documents and integrates with Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other systems through APIs, sending structured data directly into business applications.
“The launch of Xerox EveryDoc IDP App bridges the gap between structured and unstructured data, helping our clients accelerate business operations by gaining deeper data insight, without the added complexity and IT costs,” said Terry Antinora, senior vice president and head of product and engineering at Xerox.
The company is targeting both large enterprises and small to medium-sized businesses, emphasizing scalability and security. It expects to expand the tool’s availability to other regions in coming months.
