Executives in emerging markets are looking to intelligent automation to provide productivity and resilience with Covid-19 in mind, according to a new report from Automation Anywhere. The report from the Bangalore, India-based RPA provider said more than 70 percent of those polled at organizations in India, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia expect more than half of their workforce will eventually be digital workers.
“Our research shows that Covid-19 has created the perfect storm for organizations to accelerate digital transformation and has forced them to rethink what more can be automated across any industry,” said Milan Sheth, executive vice president of IMEA for Automation Anywhere. “The pandemic has encouraged a new wave of digitization that will revolutionize our life as we know it. Organizations are transforming their engagements with customers, employees, suppliers and other stakeholders and will leverage the current crisis as an opportunity to drive innovative digital models to gain increased efficiencies.”
Nearly half of those polled said their organizations consider RPA as a way to “future proof” their business. Fifty-seven percent of respondents indicated they want to acquire RPA and AI skills in the post-Covid environment.
