NEWS FOR THE AI-POWERED INTELLIGENT AUTOMATION ECOSYSTEM

UiPath Expands Document Automation Offering with Google Cloud Marketplace Launch

UiPath has made its Intelligent Xtraction and Processing (IXP) platform available through the Google Cloud Marketplace, positioning the offering more directly within enterprise cloud procurement workflows.

The New York City-based intelligent automation company said it will use Google’s Gemini models as the default third-party large language model for new IXP deployments, aiming to improve performance on document-heavy processes common in industries such as healthcare and financial services.

UiPath’s IXP combines document understanding with communications mining to extract and interpret information from forms, claims, invoices and other records, with the goal of reducing manual review and accelerating downstream workflows.

According to the company, Gemini models improved processing speed and accuracy in internal evaluations, reducing average document processing time from 40 seconds to 25 seconds. UiPath also pointed to lower token costs as a factor in reducing operational expenses at scale.

Early customer examples cited include healthcare and life sciences organizations using the platform to automate high-volume transactions and invoice processing, with varying degrees of straight-through processing.

“Document-intensive workflows are where AI promises go unfulfilled, and fixing that takes a powerful model and knowing how to apply it,” said Andrada Morar, VP of Technology Alliances at UiPath.
