Tegria, a Seattle based organization specializing in providing software and technology services to the healthcare sector, has acquired Colburn Hill Group in a move that will bolster Tegria’s RPA offering for revenue cycle management.

RPA was recognized fairly early on as a good fit for health care providers and insurers by finance departments dealing with repetitive manual tasks in the revenue cycle. Data entry for claims filing, getting patients properly set up in EHR systems, and collections all provide opportunities for the health care industry to find efficiencies by automating with RPA.

Tegria’s acquisition of Colburn Hill Group includes the smaller company’s proprietary revenue cycle management (RCM) platform Ops Center, of which RPA is a significant part.

“Colburn Hill Group has built an enthusiastic following among its customers by delivering intuitive solutions for their most difficult RCM challenges,” said Lincoln Popp, managing director of Tegria’s RCM solutions group. “In helping customers navigate denials management, prior authorization, claim status, account resolution, and more, Colburn Hill brings a unique mix of experience in revenue cycle operations and expertise in technology. The power of this combination makes them a great fit for Tegria. We’re excited to scale Ops Center technologies and services to meet the RCM needs of the entire healthcare community.”

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
