NEWS FOR THE AI-POWERED INTELLIGENT AUTOMATION ECOSYSTEM

Automation Anywhere to Acquire Boost.ai, Expanding Conversational AI Capabilities

Automation Anywhere has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Norwegian conversational AI technology provider Boost.ai. According to the Bay Area-based automation company, the acquisition will expand its agentic automation platform by connecting customer-facing conversational AI with back-office business processes. The company says the integration will enable AI agents to interpret customer and employee voice requests and execute workflows across enterprise applications, involving human workers when necessary.

Boost.ai serves hundreds of organizations, particularly in regulated industries including financial services, telecommunications and insurance. Its platform supports more than 36 languages and combines natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI.

“By joining Automation Anywhere, we can connect the conversation, including voice, directly to the systems and people who get the work done, so a customer’s request is handled from start to finish,” said Boost.ai CEO Jerry Haywood.

The proposed acquisition follows Automation Anywhere’s purchase of Aisera in late 2025, which expanded its capabilities in enterprise knowledge management and automated employee services. Together, the acquisitions will enable Automation Anywhere to offer AI-powered automation across customer service, employee support and core business operations.

Automation Anywhere also reported that AI-related bookings accounted for nearly 70 percent of new and upsell bookings over the past six quarters, while agentic AI executions increased fivefold over the past year.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
