Gartner Names ‘Leaders’ in Process Mining

While process automation platforms continue to proliferate, one of the ways they are advancing technologically is by integrating process mining capability. Whether it’s integrated into a wider intelligent automation platform or is a standalone system, process mining technology enables comprehensive analysis of end-to-end processes by extracting event data from information systems, making automation efforts more efficient and effective.

For the third year in a row, Gartner has produced a “Magic Quadrant,” evaluating process mining providers. The Stamford, Conn.-based IT consultancy has named Apromore, ARIS, Celonis, IBM, MEHRWERK, Pegasystems, SAP Signavio, and UiPath as “Leaders” in the category.

The consultancy said in the 2025 report that, in addition to providing visibility and understanding of actual business operations, process mining also helps validate whether processes are being executed properly, identifies interdependencies and bottlenecks and helps discover and assess opportunities for process automation.

Overall, Gartner evaluated 16 process mining technology providers in the report—up from 15 in 2023—including ABBYY, Appian, Decisions, iGrafx, Microsoft, Proxverse, QPR Software and ServiceNow.
