Portkey.ai says it has closed on a seed funding round worth $3 million so the firm can ramp up production of its suite of tools enabling businesses to monitor language model operations and connect to multiple large language models more efficiently. Using these tools, the company says, businesses will be able to develop and launch AI-based apps faster and cheaper than ever.
Portkey.ai tools enable integration with OpenAI, Anthropic, Langchain, LlamaIndex and more, the company said.
“Tech chiefs are facing a rush of demand from teams for AI apps that will save money without too much delay,” says Rohit Agarwal, CEO of Portkey.ai. “But they cannot say yes to all their requests. There’s so much work to be done that there are often competing priorities and Portkey wants to help solve these dilemmas for tech teams. Our vision for Portkey has been to enable teams and companies to deploy Gen AI apps and features with confidence.”
The company says it will leverage the funding to increase headcount and further develop its product’s capabilities. The funding round was led by Lightspeed with participation from angel investors, including prominent figures from AWS, OpenAI, Cloudflare, Postman, and Asana.
