Process automation software provider ProcessMaker announced it has acquired Workfellow. The Durham, N.C.-based company said integrating the Finnish company’s process intelligence technology is critical to enhancing its suite of solutions.

ProcessMaker CEO Alex George said Helsinki-based Workfellow’s unique methodology and advanced analytics, along with a marketplace enabling integration with more than 70 business enterprise applications, will enable ProcessMaker clients to map their processes, discover inefficiencies and identify more opportunities for automation.

“We are thrilled to combine forces with ProcessMaker, delivering critical process discovery capabilities that are the foundation of exceptional automation,” said WorkFellow co-founders Kustaa Kivela and Henri Wiik. “To grow and optimize any business, you must first accurately discover and identify areas for process improvement. Now, our customers can do both to realize greater efficiencies and savings with our combined platforms.”

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
