Open-source RPA technology provider Robocorp recently released a public beta version of its low-code RPA development solution called Automation Studio. The San Francisco-based company is just over a year removed from a $21 million Series A funding round and is launching a platform it is billing as Gen 2 RPA.

The startup, founded in 2019, offers an open-source platform where developers can leverage a suite of free tools to build, deploy and orchestrate RPA bots to automate manual tasks and processes. The company says Automation Studio is powered by Robot Framework and fosters a collaborative development environment that works across any technology stack with no licensing fees or long-term commitments.

“At Robocorp, we believe in ‘minutes to learn, a lifetime to master’,” says Antti Karjalainen, the CEO of Robocorp. “With Robocorp Automation Studio, we are not only enabling aspiring developers of all levels to start their journey to becoming software robot developers but also making it easier for existing developers to upgrade their skills and their bots.”
