Intelligent automation technology provider UiPath said it has introduced Maestro Flow, a developer-focused orchestration tool aimed at moving AI agents and automated processes from prototype to production without requiring developers to rebuild them on a separate platform.
According to the New York City-based company, Maestro Flow enables developers to design, run, monitor and govern automated business processes as a single artifact. The tool works with coding agents including Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Codex and can be used from development environments such as VS Code and UiPath Studio.
“Enterprises don’t have an agent problem; they have an orchestration problem,” said Raghu Malpani, chief product and technology officer at UiPath. “With coding agents, it’s never been easier to build an agent. But running a real business process, spanning agents, robots, systems, and people—and being able to prove what happened at every step—needs an orchestration layer that ties these together in a real business environment.”
The release reflects an emerging challenge for enterprises experimenting with AI agents: connecting agents with existing automation technologies, applications and human workflows while maintaining governance and observability.
Maestro Flow coordinates AI agents, software robots, APIs, documents and people within a single workflow and runs on UiPath’s existing Maestro orchestration engine. UiPath says developers can retain a code-first workflow while organizations apply production execution, monitoring and governance controls.
UiPath said it also is offering Maestro Lite for processes that do not require the same level of operational management.
