RPA and intelligent automation technology provider UiPath announced the appointment of Karenann Terrell to its Board of Directors. Terrell is a C-level veteran with extensive experience in digital and cybersecurity technology. Most recently, she served as chief digital & technology officer at pharmaceutical and biotechnology giant GSK (formerly GlaxoSmithKline). She has also served as chief information officer for Walmart and has been awarded the Fisher-Hopper Prize for lifetime achievement in CIO leadership.

While her experience in business process management—she has been named CIO of the Year by NASSCOM, a trade organization based in India focused on the BPM space—will directly benefit UiPath, Co-CEO Daniel Dines said her breadth of experience could be even more valuable.

“Karenann is an incredible addition to the UiPath Board of Directors. As a champion of the customer experience, she brings depth in building markets, driving operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams,” Dines said. “We believe she will bring fresh perspectives to our business while we help our customers accelerate innovation as UiPath continues to be a trusted enterprise automation advisor to customers around the globe.”

Terrell said RPA and intelligent automation generally, and UiPath particularly, are positioned extremely well to empower people enterprise-wide to create better ways to operate, innovate, and drive business outcomes more easily and efficiently than ever.
