Swiss insurance company Zurich Insurance Group has partnered with process mining giant Celonis in an effort to gain more understanding of its processes, gather more insight from them, eliminate inefficiencies and improve them moving forward.

Process mining has become an increasingly important part of the automation strategy for companies, enabling them to identify which processes can and should be automated, reveal bottlenecks and inefficiencies in processes and reduce operating costs. Celonis has topped several recent lists evaluating providers in the space.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Zurich to help shape the future of customer experience and their overall digital transformation journey,” said Bastian Nominacher, Celonis’ co-founder and co-CEO. “Processes are at the heart of every business. Reducing complexity and agility within processes are what drives real business transformation. We look forward to continuing to innovate with Zurich.”

Zurich said it hopes the agreement will enable it to simplify and digitize its core processes including customer onboarding, customer service, collection management, financial reporting, procurement efficiency and more.
