NEWS FOR THE AI-POWERED INTELLIGENT AUTOMATION ECOSYSTEM

UiPath Attains AI Agent Security Certification

UiPath said it has achieved AIUC-1 certification, a verification standard designed to evaluate the security and reliability of AI agents used in enterprise environments.

The certification was developed by the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company (AIUC) with input from security, risk and legal specialists and was audited by compliance firm Schellman. According to the organizations, the standard focuses on how AI agents behave in production systems, including how they handle sensitive data, respond to operational limits and resist attacks.

“UiPath is the first enterprise automation company to achieve AIUC-1 certification,” said Rajiv Dattani, co-founder at the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company. “To achieve this, they subjected their suite of agentic AI systems to 2000+ technical evaluations, and a comprehensive audit of their AI policies and technical guardrails. This demonstrates UiPath’s commitment to responsible AI agent deployment in enterprise environments.”

UiPath said its AI products, including Intelligent Extraction Processing, agent capabilities and its Autopilot tools, were evaluated across more than 2,000 enterprise risk scenarios as part of the certification process. The program also includes quarterly reviews intended to ensure the safeguards continue to meet the standard as AI systems evolve.

The company said the certification complements its existing ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, a governance framework for AI management systems.

Interest in third-party validation of AI systems has grown as enterprises experiment with deploying autonomous or semi-autonomous agents inside operational workflows. Vendors across the automation and enterprise software sectors are increasingly highlighting compliance frameworks and independent audits as customers evaluate the risks associated with AI systems that can make decisions or take actions within business processes.
