ABBYY has expanded its C-suite by adding the role of chief customer officer (CCO) and has named automation industry vet Chip VonBurg to the post. The Bay Area intelligent automation provider that specializes in process intelligence and document processing said including a CCO in its executive leadership will put more focus on its customers and how they leverage the technology.

VonBurg has spent more than two decades in the automation space in various customer success and engineering roles, including the last 10-plus years at ABBYY. Previous positions included a stop in the autonomy group at HP.
