RPA technology provider Automation Anywhere has named a new Chief Information Officer. Sumit Johar assumes the CIO role at San Jose, Calif.-based Automation Anywhere after five years in the same role at mobile security solution provider Mobileiron. In a statement announcing Johar’s appointment, the RPA software firm said he will be responsible for providing IT leadership and direction across the organization and for streamlining operations, notably by leveraging the company’s own automation platform internally.
“I look forward to leading the effort to ensure Automation Anywhere has the IT infrastructure and business applications it needs to expand its leadership in the cloud RPA market,” said Johar. “At the same time, as the internal ‘first customer’ for Automation Anywhere’s cloud-native RPA platform, I am eager to use the platform to automate manual, repetitive tasks at Automation Anywhere, and free our employees to solve more creative, higher order business challenges.”
Prior to his half decade at Mobileiron, Johar led Enterprise Applications at TIBCO Software and served in various roles at Wipro Technologies and Infosys.
