Process mining pioneer Celonis recently announced it has teamed up with one of the most recognizable names in international football, and will begin providing the club process mining and process intelligence technology. The agreement with FC Bayern Munich covers operations around not only the men’s and women’s football teams, but also the club’s basketball division.
According to a joint announcement, FC Bayern said it plans to use software from Celonis—also based in Munich—to optimize processes in multiple departments including HR, finance, merchandising, customer service and ticketing.
“We’re excited to support FC Bayern as their official process intelligence partner in achieving operational excellence through process optimization,” said Carsten Thoma, president and board director at Celonis. “We are not only united by our common hometown, but also by our constant pursuit of excellence—setting new standards through continuous improvement. [Our platform] is helping to maximize process efficiency throughout the club’s operations, laying the foundations for continued international success on the pitch.”
