Despite its recent growth, robotic process automation is in its infancy. As such, the growing number of consultants dedicated to educating companies that want to implement RPA are an important part of the ecosystem. For larger organizations, RPA projects can be exceedingly complex. For departments of the federal government, with strict compliance and procurement issues, even more so. To aid in the acquisition and education within the department of technology dedicated to intelligent automation, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) just selected Accenture to guide them over the next five years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will assist HHS in the acquisition, piloting, testing and implementation of RPA, among other AI-based technologies.

“It’s a great honor to be selected by the HHS Program Support Center to provide breakthrough solutions that meet the Departments’ emerging technology needs under the IAAI contract,” said Greg Adler, who leads Accenture Federal Services’ (AFS) work across Health and Human Services. “AFS draws upon Accenture’s vast commercial experience in AI and health to identify and implement new capabilities that support the Departments’ goals to fundamentally transform, enhance and deliver public sector healthcare.”
