As an industry, healthcare companies spend nearly half a trillion dollars annually on administrative costs, making it imperative they look at automation solutions to find efficiencies. A San Mateo, Calif.-based company that provides automation technology for the healthcare industry announced it has formed a star-studded advisory board to serve as a guide for companies that want to implement automation in healthcare.

Notable this week said it has established the Notable Digital Transformation Council to be led by the former CEO of the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Toby Cosgrove. The council will also include medical professionals and CIOs from organizations including Stanford Children’s Health, the Medical University of South Carolina, Auston Regional Clinic, Intermountain Healthcare and others.

The council’s goal is to outline a strategic vision for healthcare providers rooted in intelligent automation.

“Technology has the power to enable a more connected patient-provider relationship, but it can also detract from it,” said Dr. Cosgove. “I firmly believe intelligent automation is the future of healthcare, and the best technology capability to get the industry out of its capacity crisis and into the next generation of digital transformation.”
