Uniphore, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based technology provider specializing in automating customer service interactions recently announced it has acquired fellow Bay Area tech firm Colabo. Uniphore, which recently raised a $400 million Series E funding round, used the capital to nab Colabo’s AI-based automation software into its conversational automation platform.
The companies said Colabo’s technology uses AI to automate the process of extracting information from structured and unstructured data sources, which will make Uniphore’s intelligent virtual assistants more effective and efficient.
“Consumers today expect access to up-to-date information to solve their problems and contact centers can provide better experiences with the latest technologies that do exactly that,” said Umesh Sachdev, co-founder and CEO of Uniphore. “This acquisition brings together unique capabilities to arm enterprises with new tools that provide a quick resolution to consumer queries and empower agents with real-time, actionable information.”
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
