Tungsten Automation Expands IDP for Macs With Updates

Tungsten Automation has released an updated version of its Power PDF software for macOS, adding enterprise-focused features and AI-assisted capabilities as organizations look to standardize document workflows across platforms.

The Denver-based intelligent document processing (IDP) technology provider said its Power PDF 2026.2 for Mac introduces expanded editing and document control features, along with support for enterprise deployment models aimed at organizations managing mixed Mac and Windows environments. The update reflects ongoing demand for parity between platforms as Mac adoption grows within corporate IT environments.

A central addition is AI Copilot functionality, delivered through what the company describes as a “bring your own AI” approach. This allows organizations to connect external AI services using their own credentials and governance frameworks, rather than relying on a bundled model.

Tungsten said the update is intended to align Mac users more closely with enterprise security and compliance requirements already in place on other platforms.

The product is available in both individual and business editions, with enterprise licensing options designed to support broader deployment strategies. A browser-based editor is also available for SaaS customers.

“Professional PDF workflows should not depend on whether users work on Mac or Windows,” said Danielle Weinblatt, chief product officer at Tungsten Automation. “This release brings Mac users one of the strongest, truly enterprise-ready PDF experiences available today, with advanced editing, support for professional document workflows, and AI-assisted productivity on customers’ own terms.”

The update was introduced alongside the company’s customer event in London, as vendors continue to position document processing tools as part of broader automation and AI strategies.
