Austin, Texas-based automation consulting and services firm Tquila Automation has acquired another Texas consultancy that specializes in automation for the healthcare industry. Element Blue, based in Houston, has offices in India, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Its geographic reach and focus on the growing healthcare sector were cited as drivers of the deal. Both firms are UiPath Platinum Partners.
The acquisition is part of a Tquila strategy to bolster its industry-specific knowledge base.
“The acquisition of Element Blue realizes our strategy of building industry specialist capability across the U.S. and Europe,” said Tom Abbott, CEO and co-founder of Tquila Automation. “Every sector has very specific needs when it comes to intelligent automation, and healthcare is no exception. It brings together two UiPath specialists to deliver enhanced value and a broader range of capabilities for clients. We’re stronger as one.”
According to the announcement, which also included news of a $20 million Series A funding round for Tquila led by Delta-v Capital, Element Blue will continue to operate under its original name. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
