Automation Anywhere announced that it has named a new country manager for Korea. The Bay Area intelligent automation technology provider said tech industry veteran Moon Hyung Lee has deep experience in the market and has served as a country manager for Korea at Softomotive. His most recent stop, according to Automation Anywhere, was at AWS. In addition to those stops, Moon also authored Digital Revolution, Attack of RPA in 2019 and held senior positions at Vormetric, Entrust and VMware.
The Asia/Pacific region generally and Korean specifically are growing markets for automation technology, according to Automation Anywhere Co-founder and COO Ankur Kothari.
“With enterprises across the Korean market exploring innovative ways to automate their business processes, Moon plays an instrumental role in driving business growth and nurturing high-performing teams to further strengthen our footprint,” Kothari said.
At the end of the recent third quarter, Automation Anywhere announced it had reached profitability on the strength of large deals. Moon hopes to continue this success in the important Korean market.
“Intelligent automation is enabling organizations to drive innovations by increasing productivity thus, accelerating business growth,” he said. “I am excited to be part of this instrumental growth trajectory and plan to strengthen the team’s capabilities to meet the growing demand for business optimization.”
